SIXTEEN brings together some of the UK's leading contemporary photographers to collaborate with young people from all walks of life to ask ‘What is it like to be 16 today?’ Using still photography, video, audio and written statements, the project explores how social background, ethnicity, gender, location, health, education etc all influence what young people think they can achieve in life and challenges notions of meritocracy and social mobility.
